After a brief wave of peace in the light of the defeat of the Ork Warboss Gharak Skullstompa, war has once again come to Korolis! After rumours of running skirmishes have raised tensions to an all time high, Imperial Forces have splintered into various factions and openly attacked each other on the streets of Relevoria. Representing the Ecclesiarchy, a unit of the Imperatus Ogan Redemptionists and Penumbran 3rd Imperial Guard led a direct assault on a coven of Psykers that had rounded up a horde of Plague Zombies. Using the chaos of the combat as cover, a group of Adeptus Mechanicus and a group of unidentified soldiers (possibly local mercenaries?) led an assault on the forces of the Inquisition, namely a small unit of patrolling Enforcers and a group of Assassins and Death Cultists. As fighting around the ruined city intensified, the psykers managed to put up a series of excellently placed walls of fire, splitting up the Ecclesiarcy forces and allowing the zombies to engage them a few at a time, bringing down all who faced them, including the leader of the Penumbran soldiers.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, the Adeptus Mechanicus were seen off by the Inquisitorial forces shortly before the psykers caused a rout of the Ecclesiarchy forces. With their mutual enemies defeated, the psykers clashed with the Inquisition's soldiers, with the righteous might of an Assassin hit-squad easily obliterating the zombies and causing their masters to flee, destroying many of the zombies in the process.
In the hours after the battle, we have had reports of further factionalism among Imperial forces. As they remain stranded on Korolis, one thing is clear – until a clear and dominant leader emerges, the planet will fall further into anarchy...
